Helping people for 85 years
Citizens Advice was established at the onset of World War II to provide crucial support to communities impacted by homelessness and displacement, the daunting task of trying to find missing relatives and navigating rationing. Since then, Citizen’s Advice has offered advice to millions of people driven by twin objectives: supporting local communities and advocating for fair treatment for all.
Leatherhead Citizens Advice is one of the oldest in the country, opening its doors in 1939 and Dorking followed shortly afterwards in 1941. The services merged to form Citizens Advice Mole Valley in 2006 with both offices strategically located in the heart of each town centre. The service has managed to stay as relevant today as it was in the 1940s, adapting its services to meet the evolving needs of those it serves.
