The Access to Food scheme provides funding to people struggling with the cost of living who may also have difficulty, due to disability or long-term health condition, getting to their local foodbank.

The scheme covers the cost of a taxi ride to a local foodbank. Access to Food is awarded once per household (not person) every 3 months and is on a first-come first-serve basis. To apply, please go to the Surrey Coalition website, or for more information, please watch the adjacent video.

The primary purpose of Mid Surrey Community Fridges (MSCF) is to stop food going to waste in landfill and being able to help people in our community who may be in need is a very important added bonus.

Anyone can take food from a community fridge. MSCF ask for a modest donation (£2.50) but they’ll never turn anyone away.

See their website for details about their locations and opening times across Dorking, North Holmwood, Westcott, Beare Green, Newdigate, Capel, Box Hill and Leatherhead.
